About BetJamaica
URL : BetJamaica
Short Description : BetJamaica is an online sportsbook that tries to parlay the wild and tropic island of Jamaica into believing this internet gambling site is the very same paradise. Why, BetJamaica even has a palm tree as their logo. Now while their image may be slightly ridiculous, BetJamaica does offer a sportsbook that is a little different than most, with comprehensive previews, articles and general betting tips. BetJamaica Professional Review

    By Kris Takahashi

BetJamaica - The Look and Navigation

BetJamaica's setup looks more like your Sunday newspaper than an online gambling sportsbook. Everything is laid out clean, with game previews neatly stacked in a column on the right. There is an also an "Xtras" section, with a picture of an enticing blonde harlot to invite you in. Thinking this was an immediate portal to a steamy porno, I frantically clicked on the link, only to find it was some download to a golf article. Oh, BetJamaica, you are one tricky sportsbook. Aside from all the articles and knick knacks, the actual betting navigation is horrid. Like navigating through some crazy Minoan maze, you have to click links and boxes and break down the theory of relativity just to make your bet. In addition, the initial page, where you select your bet type, gets cut off a third of the way on the screen. Not very good web design.

    BetJamaica - Deposit/Withdrawals

BetJamaica Deposit and withdrawal options include the following: Credit cards, bank wires, Firepay, eChecks, NETeller and cold hard cash. The eCheck system is probably the wisest choice to use, considering there are no fees as with the other systems. Although deposits are limited to $300 a day when you first sign up, with good faith they gradually go up to $3,000 daily and $12,000 weekly. With withdrawals, we are given the following fine print:

Customer withdrawals of $200 or more are entitled to one free withdrawal per month via Bankwire, FedEx. You can also choose to receive a free withdrawal via NETeller, eCheck or Firepay on any amount.

What does this mean? Use NETeller, eCheck or Firepay, lest you get hit with millions of fees.

    BetJamaica Betting Types

BetJamaica wagering is not the paradise they make it out to be. While BetJamaica offers many exotic wager tools like action reverses, if wins and point buying, BetJamaica lacks depth in the prop and quarter betting departments. For example, for the NBA Finals BetJamaica had only the game price and the series price. Not even the halftime line was up. This is the equivalent of serving a steak and providing thirty different kinds of steak sauce but not giving you a fork.

    BetJamaica Bonuses and Promotions

If nothing else on this island is paradise worthy, the BetJamaica bonuses and promotions are. 20% for new BetJamaica accounts with a limit of $300, 10% reload bonuses for losers (they indicate "qualified," which usually means they won't give it to you if you're winning) and 20% for first time BetJamaica Firepay and eCheck deposits. Referral bonuses are also available, giving 10% up to $100. Of course, both you and your friend must make at least 20 wagers before you ever see the cash. The house is the cheapest of bastards. On the promotion front, BetJamaica currently has a spring special of $50 for new players. They also provide nickel juice during the football season, every Friday night between 9pm EST and 12am EST.

    BetJamaica Customer Service

The mystery of BetJamaica unfolds like a cheap pop-up book when we discover the sportsbook's location. And surprise-surprise, it's freaking Jamaica, Montego Bay to be exact. This prompted an immediate rush to the telephone to see if I would get service from a Rasta-fari-Bob Marley customer service guy. Thank you for callin' BetJamaica mon, how can I help you? Unfortunately, the lady at the other end was nothing of the sort. Perhaps their service department is outsourced to India. In any case, she hardly seemed competent and overall the BetJamaica customer service was average.

    BetJamaica User Reviews

Users seem miffed at BetJamaica's posting of late lines, and I have seen nothing on their sportsbook that would counter that point. I also found this interesting post by what appears to be a hired BetJamaica employee making fake reviews.

Daringly: I occasionaly risk a little capital with new books, so I tried BJ for their -105 Fridays (after 8pm) and a small bonus. That, and they take decent limits (VIP has -102 Friday evenings, but limits action to $500). BJ is backed by the owners of . I hate to sound like a shill, but if you're looking for a new book, take a hard look at BetJamaica.
Gnossos: How early do they put up nba game and 1H lines?
    Daringly: NBA? What's that?

Jesus, if you're going to have someone make a fake post, use someone smart enough to know what the NBA is. "I hate to sound like a shill?" Nice choice of words, buddy.
